The crowdsourced-based project Forced to Quit will have its first public engagement activity in January 2025. FQ will be presented in the hands-on portion of the afternoon of activities that starts with a keynote talk by Catherine D’Ignazio, co-author of Data Feminism and Counting Feminicide. In the practical session, the workshop participants will be invited to add new entries to the collaborative map.
Counting What Should Count: a Data Feminism Workshop is organized by Assistant Professor Marília Gehrke (University of Groningen) thanks to the Jantina Tammes School Early Career Prize, which also made possible the creation of FQ’s website.
